DL-20-ASI-3 Elevator Multi-Function Processor

This unit is an Elevator Multi-Function Processor that was designed to simplify the COP panel on an elevator cab, and to provide powerful elevator monitoring features. The DL-20-ASI-3 reduces labor cost by reducing the amount of wiring required. It also saves valuable space by combining multiple functions on one board. This unit saves even more money by allowing up to 8 elevator phones to share a single POTS line, and it provides the following functions:

  • Floor Position Indicator
  • Voice Enunciator (Floor Position)
  • Emergency Light Unit (ELU) with programmable intensity
  • Emergency Bell control and bell driver
  • Emergency Phone (with built in Line sharing up to 8 per line)
  • Fire Service Mode Indicator
  • Medical EMS Indicator
  • Seismic Sensor Indicator
  • All Inspection Mode Indicators
  • Nudging Alarm
  • Fire Buzzer
  • Floor Passing Chime
  • Load Test Due Notification
  • Battery Replacement Notification
  • Elevator Host Controller Alert Notification
  • Elevator Host Controller Fault Notification
  • Email notification of Alarms, Faults, Battery Replacement, and Load Test Due
  • Advertising Display with up to 50 advertisements
  • USB port for local Advertisement updates, PI display updates, and firmware updates via a standard Flash Drive
  • Daily Telephone Line Operability Verification (ASME A17.1 code requirements)

AD-11 Graphical Hall PI

The AD-11 is a full color, graphical HALL PI. The unit can be used as a Traveling Indicator with PI. You can mount the unit either vertically or horizontally. The AD-11 has a 4.3” LCD Full Color IPS Backlit Display. The unit is controlled through a dedicated RS-422/RS-485 port from the Elevator Controller board. If the Elevator Controller does NOT have the capability of driving the AD-11 directly, then an AD-15 “Single Line Per Floor” module can be used to interface between the inputs and the AD-11. This unit can be configured by setting up the SD card, or using the live PI configurator, through the HIDE Manager Software (available on-line at no charge). The SD card setup provides the fullest control for configuring the units.

If the AD-11 is being used as a HALL PI, then a four wire cable must be run from the controller, up the hoist way, daisy chained to each AD-11 unit. All AD-11 units are connected in parallel and up to 32 AD-11 Units can be connected together. A separate Power Wire, 18 AWG wire pair, +24VDC and Ground, MUST be Home Run from the machine room for each group of 7 AD-11 units.

The AD-11 has a built-in Gong that beeps once, on arrival, when going up and twice when going down. The unit can also drive two external Hall lanterns (AD-16) to indicate the post-arrival direction.

AD-12 Phone Line Verification Indicator

Starting in 2009, the ASME code, 17.1b, paragraph 2.27.1.1.6, requires that all emergency elevator phones must automatically daily test the phone line to verify that it is operational. If the phone line is NOT operational, an audible and visual signal must be activated next to the “FIRE RECALL” switch on the egress floor. The DL-20 line has a 2-wire Phone Line Verification Output. This 2-wire output is connected to an external AD-12 Phone Line Verification Indicator which is installed next to the fire recall switch. It requires 2 wires to be used from both the traveling and hoist way cables. The AD-12 provides both the audible and visual indicators, and has a BEEP RESET function as well to meet all requirements.

AD-13 16-Segment Hall PI

The AD-13 is a dual, 16-segment HALL PI with direction arrows. This unit is designed to be mounted vertically in the hall. The unit is controlled through a dedicated RS-422/RS-485 port from the Elevator Controller board. If the Elevator Controller does NOT have the capability of driving the AD-13 directly, then an AD-15 “Single Line Per Floor” module can be used to interface between the inputs and the AD-13. A four wire cable must be run from the controller, up the hoist way, daisy chained to each AD-13 unit. All AD-13 units are connected in parallel and up to 32 AD-13 Units can be connected together. A separate Power Wire, 18 AWG wire pair, +24VDC and Ground, MUST be Home Run from the machine room for each group of 7 AD-13 units.

AD-15 Single Line Per Floor Interface

The AD-15 is an interface board that lets Elevator Systems using "Single Line Per Floor" outputs drive DL-20 line and Hall PI line units. A single AD-15 can handle up to 6 stops with all the available control inputs. You can add from one to sixteen AD-15 Extensions to a Controller, this adds 12 additional floors, along with either 6 more floors (for 18 total) or 3 Fault inputs with 3 Alarm inputs, per Extension unit. Each unit can handle +24VDC power for the input banks or either 110vac or 220vac per input bank.
